Prayer Weekend
2nd - 4th March
In the beautiful Peak District countryside, a group of sisters and friends gathered together for a weekend of prayer. The theme was 'I will lead you into the wilderness and speak tenderly to your heart' (Hosea 2:14). We had a good mixture of prayer and reflection together and alone, a walk into the hills, deep sharing and lots of laughter.
We reflected on Abrahams call, and his gazing at the stars. We too found ourselves gazing at the stars on Saturday evening when we watched the eclipse of the moon.
The theme of Sunday was the Transfiguration and we could certainly identify with the friends of Jesus who were tempted to stay at the top of the mountain. It was good to be there.
