One Voice - a sign of hopeThis November Israeli and Palestinian Youth Ambassadors from OneVoice Israel and OneVoice Palestine will be speaking at a number of venues in London including The London School of Economics, the School of Oriental and African Studies and the House of Lords. Their aim is to comat the growing polarisation and hostility surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The OneVoice Movement is a grassroots organisation founded in 2002 in the wake of failed negotiations and renewed violence in the Middle East. OneVoice works to empower the moderate majority of Israelis and Palestinians - who want peace and are prepared to compromise for it - to make their voices heard. It already has over 200,000 members (49% Israeli and 51% Palestinian) and the numbers are growing. The Youth Ambassadors visiting London have all graduated from OneVoice's Youth Leadership Programme which trains the most committed and able young Palestinians and Israelis in public speaking, conflict resolution and non-violent protest.
