Dialogue between Sr Maureen Cusick (Congregational Leader) and Sr Ania final vows.
Maureen : Ania, you have asked to make a full commitment now to God in the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion.
Are you ready to accept this call with its threefold commitment to the church, to the Jewish people and to a world of justice, peace and love?
Ania: I am ready.
Maureen : Are you ready to continue your journey to deepen your faith, to pray with the bible, to study it with its Jewish traditions, and to find ways to express and live the charism.
Ania: I am ready.
Maureen : Are you ready to commit yourself to discern with the Congregation at General and Provincial chapters, and to follow the directives of these chapters? I am ready.
Ania: I am ready.
Maureen Are you ready to continue to undertake apostolic commitments, in line with our charism and in dialogue with your province?
Ania: I am ready.
Maureen: Ania - I now ask you to make your commitment
After the profession of Ania's vows :
Maureen:On behalf of the Congregation I accept your commitment.
Prayer said by sisters and brothers of Sion.
Blessed are you Lord God, creator of the universe. We give you thanks for this gift of Ania. We commit ourselves to accompany her, to encourage her in her commitment, to support her during the good times as well as during the difficult times. We ask your blessing on her life. May she be inspired and energised always by your Word and through your Spirit. Amen.
Blessing of the ring. May this ring with its inscription - In Sion Firmata Sum - be a visible symbol of your faithful commitment to God and to the Congregation.
